Celebrating the Funny Women of Medway, join us for a special MedFringe edition of The Glitter Project – A Safe Place.
A mentoring and networking session with a follow up open mic for female-identifying and non-binary comedy performers and artists.
We all know how challenging it can be to embark on a new interest and potential career, so these events are designed to take out the overwhelm and connect you with other likeminded female identifying comedy performers, writers and creators.

Rachel Creeger is a multi award-winning stand-up comedian, writer and director who is bringing her show “Queen of the Jews!” to MedFringe.
Lucy Ryan is an award-winning international showgirl, director, mentor and lead coach for The Glitter Challenge. Best known as cabaret artiste ‘Ivy Paige’.
This event takes place in Chatham Intra’s brand new beautiful bar venue The Bohemian.
Event Schedule:
5.45pm – Doors open/arrival
6.00pm – Workshops begin
7.00pm – Drinks break
7.30pm – Open Mic
Following the Open Mic, the bar will remain open, so you’re welcome to stay, socialise and continue the conversation.
Please note: This event takes place upstairs at the venue. Access is via stairs only, and there is currently no lift available. If you would like further information about the venue’s accessibility, please contact medway@funnywomen.co.uk before booking.
Tickets cost just £5 plus booking fee. All profits go towards The Glitter Project.

The Glitter Project offers female and non-binary performers vital stage time, whether it’s their first time on stage or they’re a more established act looking for ‘A Safe Place’ to try out new material.
Our line-ups include comedians from a range of countries, skill levels and comedy styles – so you never know what to expect! The hosts are part of The Glitter Project mentoring team, who will also be available to give advice both to performers and even audience members around their comedy aspirations.
By attending our warm, supportive, hilarious gigs, you become part of a movement aiming to break down barriers and redefine the comedy landscape.
