Lynne Parker BCAa is the founder of Funny Women and has been running comedy workshops since 2009. She has witnessed the genesis of many comedy careers with Funny Women through our Awards and community events. Hundreds of women have gained the confidence to perform on stage and in the boardroom under her guidance. Lynne believes passionately in women having a clear voice and being comfortable around humour to make us entertaining and memorable both personally and professionally. With a long career that spans journalism, broadcasting, public relations, and marketing, Lynne has experienced first hand the value of good presentation skills particularly for those who identify as female.
On this occasion, Lynne will be joined by special guest facilitator Rosalie Minnitt, an award-winning writer and comedian and winner of the 2025 Funny Women Comedy Shorts Award. Rosalie has written for CBBC, BBC Radio 4 and her hit character comedy show CLEMENTINE sold out multiple runs at Soho Theatre and was listed as top show of the year in The Guardian and The Times. Her acting credits include the new Alan Partridge series and she has taught comedy and theatre workshops in London at Soho Theatre and the Hilarity Academy with Children in Need. She has also worked teaching internationally in Amsterdam, Tokyo and Brussels.
Lynne and Rosalie will be covering many topics including:
- Building the confidence to perform
- Developing your personal style or ‘persona’
- Introducing techniques to create new material
- Advice on how to ‘up your game’ and improve presence
