Our longest-standing and most successful comedy night, Funny Women Live in Brighton, takes place at Komedia Brighton, showcasing the very best in new female-identifying and non-binary comedy talent. Featuring acts from the Funny Women Awards, the professional circuit and nurturing new and upcoming talent.
Meet your MC for the evening…
“As with any comedy night, anything can happen depending on who is in the audience at the time, so of course you need a vibrant and strong compere. We got this in spades with Ali Jay, who led the whole event in a way that brought a warm and engaging approach to the proceedings, whilst playfully bantering with the audience” Theatre in Brighton 2026
A diverse line up featuring…
Katherine Kenway is a regular on the comedy circuit, delighting audiences with her jokes on being a lazy mum. She has a sardonic view on life and is like your slightly scary straight-talking best friend, but with punchlines: “…an acerbic wit with a sideways view of motherhood” Funny Women.
Headlined by …
BBC Galton & Simpson comedy winner Grace Mulvey, an Irish stand-up taking the UK comedy scene by storm.
Co-host of the Fad Camp podcast (Irish Podcast Awards – Best Entertainment Podcast 2023), her debut show Tall Baby was named one of Rolling Stone magazine’s ’12 stand-out shows of the Edinburgh Fringe 2024′. A finalist in the Vodafone Irish Comedian of the Year 2017 and in the international ISA TV Pilot, as well as Funny Women’s Ones to Watch 2019.
“Funny Women had the right ingredients for an inclusive and entertaining evening that provided a safe space for those who needed to express themselves freely, whether on stage or in the audience. Make sure you check them out every month as the line-up is different each time, but one thing is certain. You are guaranteed full-blown fun, entertainment and lots of sparkling energy” Theatre in Brighton
