Part informal networking, part comedy masterclass, and part inspirational conversation, this special Glitter Edition Comedy Brunch marks the first Funny Women Live Comedy Special Brunch celebrating Live Comedy Day at the Groucho Club London.
Hosted by Lucy Ryan, award-winning international showgirl, director, mentor and lead coach for The Glitter Challenge — this brand new event run in partnership with the iconic Groucho Club brings together performers, creatives and industry voices for a lively discussion on confidence, resilience and the power of humour in both life and work.
Joining Lucy on the panel is Emmy-nominated comedy writer Christine Rose, who has over 20 years’ experience writing for some of television’s most iconic shows, including Have I Got News For You, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, The Graham Norton Show, The Jonathan Ross Show and Chatty Man. Her credits also include major awards shows such as the TV and Film BAFTAs, Eurovision Song Contest, GQ and Glamour Awards, as well as reality programmes including The Traitors US, Destination X and The Reluctant Traveller.
Joining the conversation is Louise Gold, one of Britain’s most celebrated puppeteers and voice artists. From the original Muppet Show to Netflix’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, her extraordinary career spans iconic productions including Spitting Image, The Furchester Hotel and Pup School. Alongside her puppetry work, Louise has enjoyed an extensive stage career with credits including Fiddler on the Roof, Gypsy and Mamma Mia!, as well as screen appearances in Mike Leigh’s Topsy-Turvy, Coronation Street and Casualty.
Completing the panel is Jaz Ampaw-Farr, an award-winning international keynote speaker, author and resilience coach known for her powerful storytelling and humour. A former teacher who rose from a challenging childhood to become one of the UK’s most sought-after speakers, Jaz has delivered thousands of keynote talks worldwide and inspires audiences to be “10% braver” through authenticity, courage and connection. Jaz was one of our 2025 Glitter Challenge cohort and performed stand up comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Comedy Store with us last year.
Together, the panel will explore the craft of comedy, creative careers, and how humour can be a powerful tool for resilience, storytelling and human connection.
