This year we received a prodigious number of scripts for the 2022 Funny Women Comedy Writing Award sponsored by Sky Studios. With the help of our fantastic panel of readers from the comedy industry we have now read and scored over 150 scripts and narrowed them down to a longlist of 25.
The standard was high as ever this and whittling the list down to 25 was extremely hard. We think the panel has selected an incredible range of scripts that cover all kinds of comedy and we are excited to move forward to the next stage.

The longlisted scripts will now be put forward to a panel of judges from across the comedy industry until we reach our shortlist of 10. The shortlist will be announced via the website, social media and emails to the successful entrants on the 25th August 2021. Good luck!
The winner will be announced at the Funny Women Stage Award final on the 29th September at Bloomsbury Theatre, London.
