I’d just like to start off by saying, gang, I’m proud of you. Everyone’s out there doing shit well and/or being cosy indoors with cats and stuff and I’m just feeling very warm in general about the cool and talented people all around. These feelings mainly come from me having been to about a million comedy shows over the past month (averaging three a week at this rate, might need to chill out) and — I know this is the point of comedy and very much not a groundbreaking thing to say and there’s a lot of other crap out there in the world but — it fills me with joy!
Having said that, I’m a bit pissed off with myself over here, as I missed out big time not booking into three big Soho Theatre shows this month, which I would have included in this list if they hadn’t sold out ages ago. Congratulations to anyone who got tickets to Patti Harrison, Meg Stalter, and Mary Beth Barone early doors while I was faffing about. (Jumped on the waiting list, recommend you do the same.) Enjoy the comedy, I hope it makes you very happy.
It’s dark and wet now, so you may find yourselves more inclined to remain at home watching season 41 of Survivor illegally online, but maybe mix it up a bit by booking in some of theeeeeeese here shows. You will have no regrets. Survivor will live on the internet forever. Kind regards xx
Nobody Panic Book Tour
Thursday 4th — Saturday 20th November, on tour
Great news for fans of Stevie Martin and Tessa Coates’s excellent podcast — Nobody Panic has not only hatched a book baby but also a tour to celebrate the book baby’s birth! The pair are heading off around London, Brighton, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, and Cambridge for a series of live shows where they’ll be tackling a different topic every night. For tickets and more information, click here!
Stand Up For Palestine
Tuesday 9th November, Museum of Comedy and online
Jen Brister headlines the latest comedy fundraiser for the Palestine Solidarity Campaign — this is the first time it has been live on a real stage (but don’t worry, it’ll still be live online as well). Isabelle Farah is hosting, with Jenan Younis, Daphna Baram and Fatiha El-Ghorri joining Jen at the Museum of Comedy.

Funny Women at Samsung
Wednesday 10th November, Samsung KX Kings Cross
Here’s the first of two unbeatable Funny Women live shows this month. Fresh from absolutely destroying the finals a few weeks ago, winner Lara Ricote and runner-up Ola Labib take to the stage in King’s Cross with Stella Graham and musical duo Shelf. For tickets and more information, click here!
Frida KahLOL
Tuesday 16th November, Doña Stoke Newington
Gather in Doña, Stoke Newington’s gorgeous cocktail bar, for a night of seriously sparky comedy. Obviously taking its lead from the great Frida herself (“nothing is worth more than laughing”), these line-ups are always next level and this month is no excepsh: Ania Magliano, Saima Ferdows, Leo Reich and this year’s Funny Women comedy writing award winner Kathryn Bond! Siân Docksey: We Live in a Human Dream
Thursday 18th — Friday 19th November, Museum of Comedy
I’ve written a few of these now so you must know I always want to put in something beautifully weird, and this month the winner is Siân Docksey, who has just emerged from the Belgian basement she has been in for the past year. Apparently, Siân is going to spend an hour trying to impress an octopus and I, for one, can’t wait to see it. For tickets and more information, click here!
Big Bisexual Comedy Show (and Fun)
Sunday 21st November, Comedy Cabin Hoxton
Bisexuals assemble! Alice India is hosting a night bringing together some of the bessssst bisexual comedians around for the very first Big Bisexual Comedy Show. That’s four times I’ve said ‘bisexual’ now but it’s just such a gorgeous word! Your lovely line-up includes Mary O’Connell, Saima Ferdows, Lily O’Farrell, Louisa Keight and Michael May. For tickets and more information, click here!
Flo and Joan: Work in Progress
Thursday 25th November, 2Northdown
Flo and Joan are off on their biggest tour yet next year, which is super exciting. Bring on Feb 2022! They’re work-in-progress-ing their new hour of musically geniastic comedy at 2Northdown. Tours are great — look, you know we love a tour! — but there’s nothing quite like a work in progress to justify your smug ‘I saw it first actually’ boasts. Bloody Funny
Thursday 25th November, Union Chapel
Sometimes it’s nice to sit in a church pew with a cup of tea and a caramel bar and enjoy a few (or, in this case, a lot of) laughs. I’ve had some really great times at menstrual equity charity Bloody Good Period’s comedy nights and it’s because they get SUCH good line-ups! This one is no different: Suzi Ruffell, Alison Spittle, Fatiha El-Ghorri, Athena Kugblenu, Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Jayde Adams, and Sue Perkins headlining with Jen Brister as MC. For tickets and more information, click here!
Brighton Nights
Saturday 27th November, Komedia Brighton
Back in Brighton, Funny Women’s monthly gig is serving another smashing line-up from the Funny Women Awards and beyond. Helen Bauer is headlining, so you know energy will be at an all-time HIGH, with Louisa Keight, Mary O’Connell, Clair Haus, Lauren Douglin, and hosted by Lulu Popplewell. Now THAT’S what I call comedy. For tickets and more information, click here!
Clandestina Queer Comedy
Thursday 11th November, Kindred Bradmore House
Hi, I’m back banging on about Clandestina Queer Comedy — partly because I haven’t made it yet and the more I write about it the more I feel like I’ll be able to manifest my ability to plan better and actually be there, partly because of the line-ups! So, deep breath: Shelf, Yasmin Day, Eryn Tett, Mary O’Connell, Katie Price, and host Victoria Olsina. I mean, god. For tickets and more information, click here!
