This year we received a mammoth number of scripts for the 2021 Funny Women Comedy Writing Award sponsored by Sky Studios. With the help of our fantastic panel of readers from the comedy industry we have now read and scored over 220 scripts and narrowed them down to a longlist of 21.
The standard was high as ever this year and whittling the list down to 21 was extremely hard. We think the panel has selected an incredible range of scripts that cover all kinds of comedy and we are excited to move forward to the next stage.

The longlisted scripts will now be put forward to a panel of judges from across the comedy industryuntil we reach our shortlist of 10. The shortlist will be announced via the website, social media and emails to the successful entrants on the 31st August 2021. Good luck!
The winner will be announced at the Funny Women Stage Award final on the 23rd September at Bloomsbury Theatre, London.
