This event is part of The Glitter Project – A Safe Place, a series of Mentoring Meetups and Open Mic events funded by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, and takes place in Stirchley Baths, a unique venue in the heart of Birmingham, under the direction of regional producer Rachel Baker.
This is a showcase event offering female and non-binary performers vital stage time, whether it’s their first time on stage or they are a more established act looking for ‘A Safe Place’ to try out new material.
Our line-ups include comedians from a range of countries, skill levels and comedy styles – so you never know what to expect! The hosts will be part of The Glitter Project mentoring team, who will also be available to give advice both to performers and even audience members around their comedy aspirations.
By attending our warm, supportive, hilarious gigs, you become part of a movement aiming to break down barriers and redefine the comedy landscape.
