Our Mentoring Meetups and Open Mic events are a part of The Glitter Project – A Safe Place supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
Join us for some informal networking, fun and games, plus first-hand advice from visiting experts who’ve all ‘been there, done that’ in some capacity. We all know how challenging it can be to embark on a new interest and potential career so these events are designed to take out the overwhelm and connect you with other likeminded female and non-binary comedy performers, writers and creators.
Our special guest for this event is Kate Cheka, the globetrotting comedian who has performed on four continents and in seven countries. Kate’s talent has earned her accolades like semi-finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards 2022, finalist in the Berlin New Stand-up Award and winner of the Funny Women Stage Award in 2023.
This takes place in partnership with the Museum of Comedy, one of London’s leading comedy venues, under the direction of regional producer Rachel Barber.
