Our Mentoring Meetups and Open Mic events are part of The Glitter Project – A Safe Place supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
Join us for some informal networking, fun and games, plus first-hand advice from visiting experts who’ve all ‘been there, done that’ in some capacity. We all know how challenging it can be to embark on a new interest and potential career so these events are designed to take out the overwhelm and connect you with other likeminded female and non-binary comedy performers, writers and creators.
Our special guest for this event is comedian, author, and improvisor extraordinaire Laura Lexx. The session will focus on Laura’s invaluable experience as an MC – her quick wit can tame even the most unruly of audiences – as well as balancing life as a comedian and a mum.
This takes place in partnership with Komedia, home of Funny Women’s longest running pro-gig in the UK, under the direction of regional producer Kate McGann.
