As this is our London ‘finale’ for this phase of The Glitter Project, we have curated a very special event featuring an INDUSTRY PANEL with experts covering comedy production, management, legal and media. This event is kindly sponsored by Russells, one of the leading law firms in the entertainment industry, who are again supporting our programme of Mentoring Meetups at the Edinburgh Fringe 2025.
We are running this event in partnership with Women in Journalism, and this is an opportunity for you to hear first hand about how we can all work together to promote comedy and make the most of media opportunities as we head into the busy festival and awards season.
Our bumper panel will be hosted by Funny Women founder, Lynne Parker and guests include Alice Rudge, Senior Associate at Russells, Rachael Healy, freelance journalist and regular contributor on comedy and theatre for the Guardian, Zoe Paskett, founder and editor of LMAOnaise Comedy, Emma Lawson, commissioning editor BBC Comedy, Gina Lyons of Gobby Girl Productions and Marina Gask, journalist, copywriter, press coach and media strategist.
Our Mentoring Meetups and Open Mic events are a part of The Glitter Project – A Safe Place supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
Join us for some informal networking, fun and games, plus first-hand advice from visiting experts who’ve all ‘been there, done that’ in some capacity. We all know how challenging it can be to embark on a new interest and potential career so these events are designed to take out the overwhelm and connect you with other likeminded female and non-binary comedy performers, writers and creators.
This takes place in partnership with the Museum of Comedy, one of London’s leading comedy venues, under the direction of regional producer Rachel Barber.
