In this interactive two-hour workshop facilitated by Ivy Paige you will explore:

How to incorporate your existing performance skills into the role of host (Cabaret and Comedy Shows)

How to create your compere character.

How to write and create material to host a show.

How to interact with the audience and the new challenges Covid may present.

Ivy Paige is one of the UK’s most successful cabaret hosts and comperes. She has “wowed audiences across the globe” as cabaret artiste, chanteuse and burlesque star and gained recognition on the 2018 season of ITV’s hit talent show The Voice. She has presented and sang for BBC presents Cabaret at The Edinburgh Festival and has filmed From Burlesque Queen to Body Builder, a documentary for BBC 1.

As a live cabaret artiste, Ivy has her own show in London’s West End, hosted the first ever Burlesque show in The Middle East and is the host for the longest running UK Theatre tour, An Evening of Burlesque. She has had sell out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, supported John Waters at The Hammersmith Apollo and The Puppini Sisters on their UK tour.

Ivy is also the host of Funny Women’s ‘Behind the Scenes’ podcast where she interviews influential guests from the world of performing arts and gets tips and insights from founder Lynne Parker.

This workshop will be held online over zoom and is suitable for all levels.
