We’re committed to empowering people to express themselves more confidently so that they can stand out in both their professional and personal lives.

Using tried and tested tricks of the comedy trade, this crash course is aimed at giving you tools to take on leadership roles, speak in public and tell your story, while managing workloads, avoiding burnout and working or collaborating with people who mirror your ethics.

Featuring an hour a day of expert coaching and guidance Monday – Wednesday and an opportunity to present in an online showcase on Thursday.

Lynne Parker Founder & CEO, Funny Women CIC, TEDX Speaker, Writer & Facilitator, Comedy Coach and podcast host. Lynne will kickstart the week with a workshop that connects you, builds your confidence and gets your creativity flowing.

Mariana Feijó is a queer, Portuguese multidisciplinary artist, comedian, writer, photographer, content producer and podcaster, with international practice, based in London. Her practice started from a necessity to learn how to communicate and create community. She’ll use tools learned from her improv practice to help you build confidence.

Natasha Steer is a creative practitioner specialising in health and wellbeing. Starting her business in 2010, Natasha’s work has evolved from promoting local events to now being commissioned to facilitate arts and health programmes in Medway. Living with ADHD, chronic pain, migraines and IBS, Natasha understands the importance of being honest about managing workloads, avoiding burnout and working or collaborating with people who mirror your ethics. In this session Natasha will help people think about how transformative self care and creativity can support wellbeing and improve confidence.

Daily workshops are held on Zoom, from 12.00pm to 1.00pm Monday to Wednesday and recorded should you miss a day. All times, UK times!

Culminating in a live online showcase on Thursday, where you’ll present a pitch, or share an idea in public and receive invaluable feedback from facilitators and peers. This is split into two parts with an hour interval 11.30am to 12.30pm & 1.00pm to 2.00pm. All times, UK times!

What past participants say:

“This course was absolutely exceptional. I was a little scared of it when I signed up but it’s such a brilliant safe space that I didn’t feel out of my comfort zone. The advice was fantastically helpful and the live showcases were exciting and motivating.”

“Feels like being on an adventurous playground with your favourite mates.”

This workshop is free to attend thanks to funding from Medway Council and the UK Government as part of our Comedy in the Community programme.
