Feminist Swearing Night: Brighton

Do you ever feel like society isn’t exactly what it should be? Are you tired or pissed off with certain aspects of it? Do you just feel like cursing and smashing the patriarchy? If you answered yes to any of the above, you need to be at the Feminist Swearing Night!

This is an opportunity to sound off about the patriarchy, politics, inequality and injustice through stand-up comedy, rhyme, song, swearing, ranting or any other means of expression.

The event will be moderated by the founders of Feministinen ajatushautomo Hattu, unshakeable feminists Rosa MeriläinenSaara Särmä and Johanna Vehkoo. They will be joined by Brighton’s own Bryony No and Katherine AtkinsonRuth Sullivan, Ema Boswood, Man Bites Dog’s Claire Mason and other special guests.

We will be raising money for Brighton Women’s Centre who has been supporting women in Sussex for over 40 years: helping women from all backgrounds, facing all kinds of issues to live happier lives. Women dealing with bereavement or trauma, women who have been through homelessness or the criminal justice system, survivors of abuse or discrimination – BWC has welcomed them all.

Receive feminism’s warm embrace, the floor is yours!
