(but if you don’t want to join in\, that’s also fine) \nWhat to Expect on the Night\nThis show is divided into two halves designed for maximum fun and variety: \n \nPart 1: Open Mic Comedy\nThe evening kicks off with pure stand-up comedy. Our open mic is the perfect opportunity to experience the thrill of live comedy\, discover emerging talents\, and support a movement dedicated to equal representation on the comedy stage. \nPart 2: The Games Night\nAfter the break\, the focus shifts to our performers and audience volunteers tackling bizarre\, host-led tasks. Watch comedy stars compete in hilarious challenges using strange props and quick wits! \nAbout Funny Women Amsterdam\nSince 2019\, Funny Women Amsterdam has been a home for diverse and dynamic voices in comedy. DESCRIPTION:Celebrating the Funny Women of Medway\, join us for a special MedFringe edition of The Glitter Project – A Safe Place.  \nA mentoring and networking session with a follow up open mic for female-identifying and non-binary comedy performers and artists.  \nWe all know how challenging it can be to embark on a new interest and potential career\, so these events are designed to take out the overwhelm and connect you with other likeminded female identifying comedy performers\, writers and creators. \nHosted by Funny Women Medway producer and lead  mentor Nic Lamont… \nNic Lamont \n…and including special guest workshop leaders: \nRachel Creeger is a multi award-winning stand-up comedian\, writer and director who is bringing her show “Queen of the Jews!” to MedFringe.  \nRachel Creeger \nLucy Ryan is an award-winning international showgirl\, director\, mentor and lead coach for The Glitter Challenge. Best known as cabaret artiste ‘Ivy Paige’. \n  \nLucy Ryan \nThis event takes place in Chatham Intra’s brand new beautiful bar venue The Bohemian.  \nEvent Schedule: \n5.45pm – Doors open/arrival \n6.00pm – Workshops begin \n7.00pm – Drinks break \n7.30pm – Open Mic \nFollowing the Open Mic\, the bar will remain open\, so you’re welcome to stay\, socialise and continue the conversation. \n \nPlease note:  This event takes place upstairs at the venue. Access is via stairs only\, and there is currently no lift available. If you would like further information about the venue’s accessibility\, please contact medway@funnywomen.co.uk before booking. \nTickets cost just £5 plus booking fee. Whether you’re a seasoned comedian or just starting out\, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with other funny women and grow your network. \nWriting comedy can feel as daunting as performing it. That’s why we created this format exclusively for our Patreon members: Writer’s Circle\, bringing comedy creators of all kinds together to support each other. \nEveryone is invited to share a sample of their writing for thoughts\, reflections and feedback from the group. We will give you an opportunity to share ideas on stand up\, a script treatment or comedy dialogue. \nNo pressure for you to share your own writing\, you could bring a piece of someone else’s that inspires you – as long as you credit them and tell us why you like it! \nAll formats of comedy writing are welcome – it could be stand up\, TV\, short film\, poetry – anything you’d like to test out and share with a friendly group. \n\n\n\nPatreon Open House events happen on the first Monday of the month\, or nearest taking into account bank holidays.
