DESCRIPTION:JOIN OUR WRITER’S CIRCLE! \nPatreon members can join us for our exclusive monthly networking events\, Funny Women Open House! Whether you’re a seasoned comedian or just starting out\, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with other funny women and grow your network. \nWriting comedy can feel as daunting as performing it. That’s why we created this format exclusively for our Patreon members: Writer’s Circle. \nBuilding on the success of our monthly Open House series\, we’ve tested out a new format to bring comedy creators of all kinds together to support each other. \nEveryone is invited to share a sample of their writing for thoughts\, reflections and feedback from the group. We will give you an opportunity to share ideas on stand up\, a script treatment or comedy dialogue. \nNo pressure for you to share your own writing\, you could bring a piece of someone else’s that inspires you – as long as you credit them and tell us why you like it! \nAll formats of comedy writing are welcome – it could be stand up\, TV\, short film\, poetry – anything you’d like to test out and share with a friendly group. \n\n\n\nPatreon Open House events happen on the first Monday of the month\, or nearest taking into account bank holidays. We host fun and interactive Zoom sessions\, sometimes featuring guest speakers and Q&A sessions. \n\n\n\nDon’t miss this chance to build new connections\, discover new talent\, and share your own comedic insights and experiences. \n\n\n\nPatreon Members can find their access codes for these special events in the Patreon Feed.

SUMMARY:THE GLITTER CHALLENGE - LONDON SHOWCASE
DESCRIPTION:Over the summer 10 amazing women took on a very special Comedy Challenge to raise vital funds for The Glitter Project and performed five-minutes of stand up comedy at Edinburgh Fringe\, the world’s largest arts festival.  \nJoin us for a very special showcase as the Funny Women Glitter Challenge transfers to the Comedy Store London for one night only.   \nRelive our Challengers’ Fringe debut hosted by Lucy Ryan (best known as Ivy Paige) featuring Beverley Bunn\, Harriet Minter\, Melina Jacovou\, Gemma Greaves\, Nishma Patel-Robb\, Jaz Ampaw Farr\, Robin Golinski\, Donna Easton and Val Troy. Read about this here. \n \nAll profits after costs will go towards funding the next stage of The Glitter Project. Funny Women CIC is a non-profit organisation. \nOUR INSPIRATION  \nJo Fletcher-Cross is one of Funny Women’s non-executive directors and a comedian\, who was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma brain tumour in summer 2022 on the eve of her first full run at the Edinburgh Fringe. The Glitter Project is an an enduring legacy encouraging those who’ve already established a glittering comedy career or have an interest in exploring humour and entertainment to pay something forward. Everybody deserves a ‘bit of glitter’ in their lives. \nTHE GLITTER PROJECT – A SAFE PLACE  \nFunny Women launched The Glitter Project – A Safe Place in 2024 to provide safe\, inclusive and accessible places for women to explore their creativity\, develop self-confidence and be inspired through comedy funded by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and the BBC Comedy Fund. Funds are being raised from this event to maintain the initiative and expand to more locations. \n \nFANCY A CHALLENGE?
