SUMMARY:FUNNY WOMEN LIVE IN ZURICH - COMEDY SHOWCASE
DESCRIPTION:Your comedy friends\, aunties\, and sisters are back! \nWe’re beyond excited to be back for another Funny Women Zurich Showcase – live at Comedyhaus on Thursday\, November 5th! \nAfter our amazing first showcase in November 2025 and two seasons of Funny Women open mics that brought laughter to over 1000 people\, we’re taking things up a notch: Join us for an unforgettable comedy show featuring a stellar lineup of local stand-up talents and seasoned pros ready to light up the stage with their sharp wit\, wild stories\, and unstoppable energy. \nShow starts at 8pm\, doors open at 7.30pm. \nYou don’t want to miss this! \nMartina does comedy\, Funny Women\, and sometimes her laundry. Expect comedic chaos that’s somehow cute. Think hurricane but pocket-sized. She performs all over Switzerland and internationally and will be hosting and headlining this show. \nThis show also features these brilliant acts: \nOriginally from Italy\, Ludovica came to Switzerland for her studies and stayed for her depression. Passionate about being aware of her surrounding\, she is amused by the war of attrition that is life in a civilised society. She brings to the stage a neurospicy attitude towards finding the will to live. \nVal Ann is a perpetual apartment mover\, ex-climate denier\, current renewable energy scientist\, and comedian. Living proof you can question your entire worldview not once\, not twice\, but roughly three times an hour\, she performs jokes and retellings of awkward encounters\, mostly to stall before giving up on modern society and starting a freethinking convent on Mars. \nIrene Carbone is a multilingual comedian (French\, English\, Italian\, Spanish). With a highly energetic stage presence\, she has developed a physical stand-up style\, informed by her international experience and keen observational skills. She performs in Switzerland and abroad\, with a particular affinity for theatre and radio. In 2025\, she performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and in 2026 she performed at the festival Morges-sous-rire. \n__\nThis event is in English.\nWe welcome audience members of all genders.

DESCRIPTION:RESCHEDULED – NEW DATE: 2ND FEBRUARY 2027\nOver the summer a group of amazing women took on a very special Comedy Challenge to raise vital funds for The Glitter Project and performed five-minutes of stand up comedy at Edinburgh Fringe\, the world’s largest arts festival.  \nRead more about their experience here.  \nJoin us for a very special showcase as the Funny Women Glitter Challenge transfers to the Comedy Store London for one night only.   \nRelive our Challengers’ Fringe debut hosted by Ivy Paige. \n \nFeaturing our Glitter Challengers: Danni Woods\, Betty Cherry\, Cayley Rae\, Carla Harris-Marsh\, Donna Gray\, Jane Renton and Agathe Thorseth. \nAll profits after costs will go towards funding the next stage of The Glitter Project.  \nOUR INSPIRATION  \nJo Fletcher-Cross\, one of Funny Women’s non-executive directors and a comedian\, was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma brain tumour in summer 2022 on the eve of her first full run at the Edinburgh Fringe. She passed away earlier this year. Together with Funny Women\, Jo created an enduring legacy with The Glitter Project to encourage those who’ve already established a glittering comedy career to spread ‘a bit of glitter’. \nTHE GLITTER PROJECT – A SAFE PLACE  \nFunny Women launched The Glitter Project – A Safe Place in 2024 to provide safe\, inclusive and accessible places for women to explore their creativity\, develop self-confidence and be inspired through comedy. Now that initial funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and the BBC Comedy Fund has run out\, funds raised from this event will go towards maintaining the initiative. \nIf you would like to take part in the 2027 Glitter Challenge\, please email info@funnywomen.com with ‘I’m up for the Challenge’ in the header.
