(but if you don’t want to join in\, that’s also fine) \nWhat to Expect on the Night\nThis show is divided into two halves designed for maximum fun and variety: \n \nPart 1: Open Mic Comedy\nThe evening kicks off with pure stand-up comedy. Our open mic is the perfect opportunity to experience the thrill of live comedy\, discover emerging talents\, and support a movement dedicated to equal representation on the comedy stage. \nPart 2: The Games Night\nAfter the break\, the focus shifts to our performers and audience volunteers tackling bizarre\, host-led tasks. Watch comedy stars compete in hilarious challenges using strange props and quick wits! \nAbout Funny Women Amsterdam\nSince 2019\, Funny Women Amsterdam has been a home for diverse and dynamic voices in comedy. DESCRIPTION:Raising funds for The Glitter Project \nAward-winning Funny Women founder Lynne Parker is marking her platinum (70) birthday in the best possible way — with a special fundraising comedy night at London’s iconic Comedy Store. \nThe show features incredible women who took part in last year’s Glitter Challenge alongside their comedy mentors in a celebration of new voices in comedy. Hosted by Lucy Ryan and headlined by 2006 Funny Women Stage Award winner Suzy Bennett. \n“I don’t need any more scented candles\,” says Lynne\, “but The Glitter Project needs vital funding to continue its work. Please join us for a brilliant night of comedy and help support the next generation of funny women and non-binary performers.” \nIf you can’t come to the show please consider making a donation using the QR code below.  \n \nThe Glitter Project was created as a legacy for Jo Fletcher-Cross\, a beloved Funny Women board member and champion of comedy talent\, who sadly lost her life to cancer earlier this year. Together with Jo\, Funny Women developed a safe\, supportive and joyful initiative where women and non-binary creatives can find their voice. \nPremiering at the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe\, The Glitter Project has become a vital creative incubator for grassroots comedy — offering workshops\, open mics\, mentoring sessions and a welcoming creative community where confidence and ideas can grow. \nIn Jo’s words: \n“All I have ever wanted to do is find joy\, laughter and a bit of sparkle along the way in life.
