(but if you don’t want to join in\, that’s also fine) \nWhat to Expect on the Night\nThis show is divided into two halves designed for maximum fun and variety: \n \nPart 1: Open Mic Comedy\nThe evening kicks off with pure stand-up comedy. Our open mic is the perfect opportunity to experience the thrill of live comedy\, discover emerging talents\, and support a movement dedicated to equal representation on the comedy stage. \nPart 2: The Games Night\nAfter the break\, the focus shifts to our performers and audience volunteers tackling bizarre\, host-led tasks. Watch comedy stars compete in hilarious challenges using strange props and quick wits! \nAbout Funny Women Amsterdam\nSince 2019\, Funny Women Amsterdam has been a home for diverse and dynamic voices in comedy. DESCRIPTION:LIMITED TICKETS AVAILABLE – COMEDY BRUNCH CELEBRATING PRIDE \nPart informal networking\, part comedy masterclass\, and part inspirational conversation\, this is our second Glitter Edition Live Comedy Brunch celebrating PRIDE week at the Groucho Club London. \nHosted by Lucy Ryan — award-winning international showgirl\, director\, mentor and lead coach for The Glitter Challenge — the event brings together performers\, creatives and industry voices for a lively discussion on confidence\, creativity and the power of humour. \n          Lucy Ryan hosts             Lucy Ryan             Ivy Paige             AJ Stubberfield                Melina Jacovou at Ed Fringe          Melina Jacovou             Adam All & Apple Derrieres        \nLucy is joined by AJ Stubberfield\, a trans\, working-class comedian\, actor and writer whose sharp\, socially observant comedy has made him one of the standout voices on the UK circuit. A Funny Women Stage Award finalist\, AJ has performed a sold-out solo show at Soho Theatre and appeared in productions including Goodbye Oestrogen\, Selfie Made Man and Flux at the Royal Court\, where he also made his debut as a writer. His screen work includes appearances in Thursday Murder Club (Netflix) and a US TV campaign directed by Taika Waititi. \nAlso joining the panel is Melina Jacovou\, Founder of Propel and one of the UK’s leading voices in digital talent and leadership. With over 25 years of experience across the tech industry\, Melina is an entrepreneur\, advisor and investor known for championing innovation\, diversity and inclusion. A respected speaker and moderator\, she brings warmth\, insight and a no-nonsense approach to conversations around leadership\, culture and opportunity. Mel was also part of last year’s Glitter Challenge cohort and performed stand up at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Comedy Store London. \nCompleting our amazing Pride panel are Adam All & Apple Derrieres\, Drag’s darlings. This dynamite duo are married\, in and out of Drag\, with Adam All being one of the most famous Drag Kings in the world\, often referred to as the ‘Godfather’ of the UK’s current scene. He is the 2024 Pink News Award winner of ‘Best Drag Artist’\, the first winner of Pride in London’s ‘Prides Got Talent Cabaret’ and the first ever winner of ‘Best Drag King’ at the QX Cabaret Awards. Together they have weekly residencies at The Phoenix Arts Club\, SHE Soho\, and are the hosts and curators of acclaimed\, annual megaevent Fierce Queens for Royal Museums Greenwich and dedicated\, celebrated Drag King night BOiBOX which has been described as ‘the cornerstone of the Drag King scene in the UK’ and the birthplace of many Drag King megastars. Together they have performed and hosted at Pride events\, gaybars and venues across the UK and beyond. \nThis special Pride Edition promises bold storytelling\, brilliant conversation and plenty of laughter\, creating a space where identity\, humour and inclusivity come together. \nTogether\, the panel will explore the craft of comedy\, creative careers\, and how humour can be a powerful tool for resilience\, storytelling and human connection. \nPlease note that this event is exclusively for members of The Groucho Club but we have a limited number of tickets available in return for a donation to The Glitter Project.
