DESCRIPTION:LOCATION: Olivers\, 186 High St\, Rochester ME1 1EY \nPart of our Comedy in the Community programme in Medway. \nHaving fun at work and embracing humour in the workplace has never been more important. In these challenging times for business\, the value of a ‘good laugh’ should never be underestimated\, particularly within our communities. We are celebrating the joy (yes\, really!) of work in partnership with Medway Council and the Federation of Small Businesses in the only way we know how – by encouraging a few laughs and expanding our creative boundaries with humour. \nFunny Women has been empowering women in the comedy industry for over 20 years and in response to the demand for our programmes in the workplace we run our HERlarious programme to encourage professional women to have their voice and invite the support of their male allies. \nWe learn and bond through the collective power of humour and we retain a lot more information and build relationships with the people we work with by having a few laughs. \nOur very special free event is aimed at exactly that as part of our Comedy in the Community programme here in Medway. It features workshops\, panel discussion\, essential networking and live comedy (of course!)\, and we will show you how to express your ideas more confidently and freely using some of the tried and tested tricks of the comedy trade. \nWe have carefully curated a programme to boost your confidence to take on a leadership within your community\, to apply for a job you’ve always wanted or to say what you think in a meeting. \nGet valuable advice on how to work\, play and perform your ‘roles’ in business\, embrace creative thinking and improve your mental health and wellbeing. We will introduce you to techniques to communicate more effectively\, interpret body language\, tell a story and develop a strong personal narrative with humour. \nEveryone is encouraged to attend\, regardless of gender. \nTake part in a lively round of quickfire workshops facilitated by amazing local business leaders. There will be three topics to choose from. \nFollowed by an interactive panel featuring local leaders\, lunch and live comedy.
