SUMMARY:THE GLITTER PROJECT WITH LYNNE PARKER - MENTORING MEETUP & OPEN MIC NOTTINGHAM
DESCRIPTION:Our Mentoring Meetups and Open Mic events are a part of  The Glitter Project. \nJoin Lynne Parker\, award-winning founder of Funny Women for The Glitter Project’s first collab with The Tits Comedy.  Lynne will be supported by Kelly Griffiths\, founder of The Tits Comedy and Rachel Baker\, regional producer for the Funny Women Glitter Project offering two hours of professional stand up advice\, games\, writing for comedy theory and an ‘open mic’ finale. \nThe Glitter Project has been created for our community to provide informal networking\, fun and games\, plus first-hand advice from visiting experts who’ve all ‘been there\, done that’ in some capacity. We all know how challenging it can be to embark on a new interest and potential career\, so these events are designed to take out the overwhelm and connect you with other likeminded female and non-binary comedy performers\, writers and creators. \nThen comes our showcase Open Mic event\, offering female and non-binary performers vital stage time\, whether it’s their first time on stage or they are a more established act looking for ‘A Safe Place’ to try out new material. \nOur line-ups include comedians from a range of countries\, skill levels and comedy styles – so you never know what to expect! The hosts will be part of The Glitter Project mentoring team\, who will also be available to give advice both to performers and even audience members around their comedy aspirations. \nThis takes place at The Carousel\, a community-focused venue in the heart of Nottingham\, as part of the Nottingham Comedy Festival. \nTo book a spot at our Glitter Project Open Mic Nottingham please email info@funnywomen.com and put GLITTER PROJECT NOTTS COMFEST in the header.
