Time Out and Nando’s are on the hunt for up-and-coming-comedians to perform at the Extra Hot Comedy Club.

Calling all budding comedians: Time Out and Nando’s want to put you on stage! Together, the two brands are launching the Extra Hot Comedy Club: a spicy series of gigs happening in Nando’s restaurants across the UK this spring.

Each gig will feature a sizzling line-up, with headliners including Munya Chawawa and Grace Campbell (pictured below), with fantastic emcees including Sikisa. On each of the nights, two up-and-coming comedians will perform a five-minute set. It’s a paid opportunity, and the winners will also appear in various pieces of promotional content published on Time Out’s social media.

Could one of those comedians be you? Time Out and Nando’s judges will be selecting the comedians based on video submissions, and entries are open now!

To enter the competition, emerging comics need to post a one-minute-long video on Instagram using  #ExtraHotComedyClub and tagging @timeoutlondon.

Your entry will then appear on this page on the Time Out website (so you can check out who you’re up against). Shortlisted entrants will have the chance to impress the judges on a phone call. On the panel is Time Out UK editor Joe Mackertich, deputy editor Chiara Wilkinson, theatre and comedy editor Andrzej Lukowski, Nando’s Head of Brand, an additional comedy expert, and Munya Chawawa.

More information on the Extra Hot Comedy Club:

London: 31st March, Munya Chawawa, Sikisa (emcee).

Birmingham: 7th April, Larry Dean

Brighton: 22nd April, Chris Hall

Edinburgh: 28th April, Grace Campbell

The competition closes on February 16, 2025.

Good luck!
