Comedians indoors getting creative: Part 10

Comedians aren’t just at risk of cabin fever during this time of social distancing and self-isolation, gig cancellations have meant not just loss of earnings but also fewer chances to try out new material or build audiences. However, being a creative lot, comedians have been flexing their comedy muscles online, using YouTube, Twitch, Twitter and other sites to connect with audiences, new and established alike. To help you get your comedy fix, every week we’ll be putting together a list of projects we’ve spotted online by funny women…

Because crime doesn’t take a day off, the Drunk Women aren’t either. The Drunk Women Solving Crime podcast continues in lockdown with the women joining together with a guest online. Drinks at the ready, every Wednesday…

Sisters Stevie and Gina Martin have joined forces and created new podcast Might Delete Later. In this podcast the comedian and activist pair delve into the social media timelines of interesting people they know. What do they regret posting? What was their first-ever post? And how has social media helped or hindered them? Get it wherever you get your podcasts, and visit @mightdeletelaterpod on Instagram for fun stuff you didn’t hear in the episodes…

Saturday Night Live is still going live on Saturdays, although it looks a little different with the cast all filming from their homes. The women cast members have produced some hilarious skits. Aidy Bryant has been sharing her childhood notebooks, while Chloe Fineman has perfected her Phoebe Waller-Bridge impression.

Comedian Maureen Younger has been keeping a blog, Lockdown life of a London Singletonwhich, uh, describes lockdown life as a singleton in London and it sounds pretty busy. Maureen records vlogs, chats on Instagram live with fellow comic Jen Brister and joining a sitcom writing course.

We will be back next week with more projects, you can tweet us @funnywomen or contact us on Facebook if you have a project you want us to share…
