Jenny Bolt has won this year’s Silver Stand-up Award at the Leicester Comedy Festival, hosted by Mrs. Barbara Nice. Actor, director and workshop facilitator, Jenny triumphed over eight other comedians at the final. Jenny said “I am proud to be the winner of the Silver Stand-up Award 2020. It’s a great platform for mature comedians- we ain’t dead yet!”
The finalists were picked out of 18 comedians aged between 55 and 75 invited to audition for a chance to win the coveted prize. The final was judged by a panel consisting of Monica Winfield (BBC Leicester), Troy Young (Age UK Leicester) and Jonathan Kerry (Big Difference Company Trustee).
Leicester Comedy Festival is renowned for nurturing new voices in comedy and offering audiences the opportunity to be among the first to spot the stars of tomorrow.
Congratulations Jenny!
