The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has yet again won the Critic’s Choice accolade for best TV comedy series – making it a two year streak for the Amazon TV show.
The show’s star Rachel Brosnahan also won best comedy actress for playing the eponymous role of a woman stand-up, while co-star Alex Borstein was won best-supporting actress.
Show producer Amy Sherman-Palladino thanked Amazon as she collected the award, before taking advantage of the moment: “The Season 3 budget is going to be coming to you this week. Remember this.”
She added “We just want to thank everyone. The most amazing cast in the world, our crew, everyone who showed up, everyone who talks to us.”
Brit Olivia Colman won best actress in a comedy for her role as Queen Anne in The Favourite and Crazy Rich Asians was named best comedy film, beating out Deadpool 2, The Death Of Stalin, The Favourite, Game Night and Sorry To Bother You.
