Katherine Ryan gets Netflix Series

It seems that, just like us, Netflix can’t get enough of 2008 Funny Women Awards winner Katherine Ryan. The British based Canadian comic is writing and starring in a brand new comedy series for the streaming site called The Duchess with 3Arts and Clerkenwell Films, the producers of The End of the F**king World.

Netflix says that in The Duchess Katherine will play a “fashionably disruptive single mom” whose daughter, Olive, is her greatest love and who is debating having a second child with her greatest enemy, Olive’s dad.

Katherine is set to executive produce the six part series of half-hour shows with Dave Becky and Josh Lieberman for 3Arts, and Murray Ferguson, Petra Fried, and Ed Macdonald for BBC Studios-backed Clerkenwell Films.

We don’t, as yet, know if the title is a nod to Katherine’s deep and sincere love for the now off the market Prince Harry.
