Rebecca Humphries is no Victim

Actor, writer and kween Rebecca Humphries has tweeted a statement in light of her ex-boyfriend Seann Walsh’s cheating scandal with his Strictly partner. Rebecca has chosen to take the opportunity to highlight the serious issues in their relationship that stemmed Seann’s controlling nature. The comedian called her “psycho/nuts/mental” when questioned over his behaviour.

Rebecca wrote that the whole episode has “served to remind me that I am a strong, capable person who is now free; and no victim”.

“I have a voice and will use it by saying this to any woman out there who deep down feels worthless and trapped with a man they love,”

“Believe in yourself and your instincts. It’s more than lying. It’s controlling. Tell some very close friends who, if they’re anything like my wonderful network, will swoop in and take care of the logistics and of you.”

While Rebecca shared her theory that Seann’s desire to control came from a place of vulnerability she resolved: “I’m not sorry I took the cat though.”

Myleene Klass was among the celebrities praising Rebecca, tweeting: “You took more than the cat with you, you took your pride, your dignity and your self worth”
