Catherine Tate has been announced as this year’s Olivier Awards. The comedian and actor told Ruth Langford and Eamonn Holmes on This Morning: “I am going to be hosting this year’s Oliviers awards!”
Nominations for the Awards are announced next week and the ceremony will take place at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 8th April.
Catherine said: “Theatre has always been a big love of mine both as a performer and as an audience member. It’s my pleasure to be involved in this exciting and inspiring event”.
In addition to her new hosting duties, Catherine is said to be making a BBC One documentary about the plight of the British bulldog, which according to a TV insider is “a subject close to her heart.”
