Norris and Parker are a double act. Norris is from London and Parker is from Manchester. Norris can sing like the Little Mermaid and Parker…will sing. Norris might have voted Tory and Parker is a feminist. Neither of them are quite sure why they decided to go with black catsuits for their stage wear.
These drama school graduates are dealing with a more mundane life than was promised. They hoped to be presenting a dance number at the Traverse, not at The Caves in Edinburgh doing sketch comedy – that’s for women who can’t hack stand up!
All Our Friends Are Dead is a fast paced show that is all singing, all dancing, all chicken eating. The comedy duo reimagine Disney songs, school us in John Cooper Clarke ‘ad-libbing’, criticise the Thatcherism that lives on through David Cameron, send up the current peculiar comedy trend for creating promiscuous Eastern European women characters (seriously, everywhere) and then go on a date. You might be flummoxed, but you won’t be bored in this show.
