Last Call for Amoosement

We will be announcing the details of the 2014 Funny Women Awards soon, but if you are already in the competitive spirit then you should start your year of competition with the Amused Moose Laugh Off

The first qualifying round kicks off on Sunday 26 January and continue on to mid February so you need to get your act together soon to be in with a chance! You will be required to do 60 to 90 seconds of gag-packed comedy for Amused Moose to decide if you have what it takes to enter. If you do well enough to qualify then the heats, quarter finals and semi finals will take place until May.

The winner receives £1500 and all the finalists will be considered for a dvd option by 2entertain, BBCWorldwide's dvd label. Most importantly it is a great opportunity to be noticed by talent scouts.

Amused Moose wants to "to discover the comedy stars of tomorrow" . They definitely have an eye for talent. The Amused Moose Laugh Off and Laughter Award have seen a large number of entrants go on to find great success in the comedy world. Former entrants whose names might ring a bell are Jimmy Carr, Greg Davies, Nina Conti, Jack Whitehall, Sarah MillicanAndi Osho, Simon Amstell, Rhod Gilbert and Mark Watson to name but a few.
