Women in Film Finishing Fund

The Women In Film Foundation's Film Finishing Fund is not only great alliteration, it also supports films by, for or about women by providing cash grants of up to $15,000.

The Foundation has been around for over 25 years and in this time they have awarded more than $2 million in cash to 170 films ensuring that innovative films can be completed and seen by audiences worldwide.

Film Finishing Fund recipients' films have won many major awards including Emmy and Academy Awards, and have screened at festivals and on various TV channels worldwide.

The programme funds filmmakers working in both short and long formats in all genres—narrative, documentary, educational, animated and experimental. You do not have to be a Women In Film member to apply for the FFF, and they encourage applications from around the world.

In order to apply for a FFF grant, you must have completed at least 90% of principal photography and a have a rough cut at the time of application. For the specific application requirements visit the Women In Film Foundation's website.

The final deadline for submissions is April 29, 2013 and applications are being accepted now. The winners will be announced in September 2013.

Have a film or TV idea but don't have the time or money to start filming yet? You can still enter Funny Women's Comedy Writing Award.
