Vanessa and Katherine's script 'Profit and Loss' has been short-listed by the judging panel for the Comedy Writing Award 2012.

We asked Vanessa and Katherine what getting through to the long list means to them and they told us…

"Getting through to the final three of the Funny Women writing competition is fantastic. We have been writing together for a year since meeting in the Funny Women Stand-Up Final last September. It has been hard work but tremendous fun and a lot of laughs… which seems ideal for a future job. Kath has spent her whole life watching and studying sitcoms and side splitting lines fall out of her. In contrast Vanessa fell into comedy last year following a pub quiz but as an analyst has marked up texts for all sitcoms for dummies books. A perfect team. "
