Christine grew up in the leafy environs of historic Cambridge where she was taller and wider than most people her age.
After a rebellious year hitch-hiking around the country to watch punk bands in the mid-90s, she returned to Cambridge to study English & Women's Studies (not *at* Cambridge, but at the Polytechnic down the road, a distinction she rarely clarifies).
Christine currently lives in London and works in publishing, where part of her job includes "dotting teas and crossing eyes as a porofraeder." She only recently started writing comedy and, like most things in life, wishes she'd started sooner.
She says, excitedly: "Being shortlisted for this year's Sky Funny Women Comedy Writing Award is a glittering beacon of acknowledgement from two hugely respected brands. I shit my pants when I got the news."
