Andi Osho: All the Single Ladies – Review

If Andi doesn't get her own television programme out of this year's Edinburgh Fringe run, I'll eat my proverbial hat.

Andi is in control from the off and continues to keep her audience in the palm of her hand throughout her show in the Pleasance Cabaret Bar – a venue which has produced many comic successes despite the poor line of vision from some of the seats and the heat!  Whatever the weather, it is always hot in this venue so an act really has to be good to keep the crowd's attention.

Hot or not, and even if you couldn't see Andi properly, you could feel her presence in every corner of the room. Strong, sexy and sassy in her daily quest to find herself a date from her audience, the show's narrative takes her on a circuitous route around her criteria for dating success. Andi banters throughout with her nicely warmed audience who appear only too willing to participate, sharing their own dating stories about how they met and even how they broke up!

Andi is a brilliant host and we absolutely love it when she comes back to take charge of our shows! Last year's final of the Funny Women Awards was very much about Andi at her best, particularly when she had to deal with a now legendary 'punch up' in the audience!

No fights in Edinburgh, well not on the night I was there! This format of narrative and interaction really suits Andi's skills and TV scouts should snap her up – give her a series, now!

Sara Barron: Enemies Closer

It’s perhaps bad form to start a review by commenting on what the comic is wearing but I reckon, in saying that I was slightly distracted for a minute by her incredible E.T. shirt, Sara Barron would think I am just being perceptive. (I need that shirt.)
