The London Clown Festival is back for its third year.

The festival exists to champion the rise of contemporary clowning giving a performance platform to a plethora of talented national and international performers. A hilarious line-up of talented groups and individuals who use every bit of themselves, all the way to their eyebrows, to get the audience wailing with laughter.

Last year, the London Clown Festival booked performers who came to be Edinburgh 2017 Comedy Award winners and nominees and they are expecting to have the same clairvoyance this time around.

Some programme highlights:

Butt Kapinski
Deanna Fleysher, creator and performer, was kind enough to give us an interview here, and iss also teaching some workshops in London (all details in the interview article);

Nina Conti
Showing us the ultimate evolution of the act being developed over the last 15 years and monkey’s complete control;

Elf Lyons
We’ve reviewed her show Swan at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe here and are excited to see what comes next.

The festival is running from 17th May – 3rd June and will see shows held in three venues in the capital. Mirth Marvel & Maud in Walthamstow, The Albany on Great Portland Street and Farrs School of Dancing in Dalston. Get more information here.
