Kathryn Bond and Lorna Shaw, aka The Silky Pair, met and trained at Bretton Hall but it wasn’t until some years later that they got together to create comedy. The pair have been likened to Flight of the Conchords and French and Saunders but perform their own unique blend of original musical and character comedy.
The pair got through to the final of this year’s Funny Women Awards whilst at the Edinburgh fringe where they were performing their show, Happy to Help, which was a massive boost for the duo midway through the run. They have whispered in the ear of Funny Women HQ that it means so much to them to have been put through to the final and have the opportunity to perform alongside so many talented comediennes.
